Preschool

Play-based learning for curious 3 and 4-year-olds

About the Program

Preschoolers learn best by doing. Our teachers design center-based activities literacy, math, STEAM, art, dramatic play, and outdoor exploration aligned with the Massachusetts Guidelines for Preschool Learning Experiences. Children build early literacy and numeracy, self-help skills, and collaboration through developmentally appropriate projects and routines.

What to know

  • Print-rich classrooms with daily read-alouds and storytelling

  • Math through manipulatives, cooking, and measurement

  • STEAM provocations (magnatiles/gears, simple experiments)

  • Social-emotional lessons: sharing, problem-solving, classroom jobs

Readiness, Reinforced by Enrichment

Pre-K’s small-group literacy and math work is amplified by enrichment—songs strengthen phonemic awareness and memory; nature themes spark inquiry and vocabulary; movement classes build focus, perseverance, and self-regulation—key skills for a smooth kindergarten transition.
