Enrichment at Kinderbook

Music, movement, science, and imagination — purposeful fun that amplifies classroom learning.

About the Program

Our enrichment partners bring themed, age-appropriate experiences into Kinderbook on a consistent schedule. Children explore rhythm and storytelling, become nature detectives, climb and tumble in a safe mobile gym, and travel the world through music and movement all designed to build motor skills, language, social-emotional growth, and a love of learning.

How Enrichment Supports Our Curriculum

  • Whole-Child Growth

Experiences target motor development, language, early cognition, and social-emotional skills through hands-on play.

  • Consistent Routines

Repeating key songs/activities builds confidence while new themes keep curiosity high.

  • Home Connection

Families receive simple ways to extend learning at home (e.g., book lists, nature facts, conversation prompts).

Music with Mrs. T

Once a month (Preschool classrooms)

What children experience

Kinesthetic, imagination-rich science exploration focused on local flora, fauna, and habitats children can find in their own backyards and community. Activities channel natural movement and curiosity into early science practices — observing patterns, comparing, predicting—while promoting calm, confidence, and self-awareness. Topics span all seasons on a two-year rotation and are developmentally accessible for all learners. Families receive an e-newsletter with a recap, themed facts, and recommended books to continue learning at home.

Family value: Try the monthly “nature hunt” at pickup — spot leaves, tracks, colors, or patterns together on the way to the car.

Tumble Bus

Every Tuesday (Preschool & Pre-K)

What children experience

A fully padded, converted school bus outfitted with age-appropriate gymnastics equipment that parks on site — no transportation required. Children climb, balance, roll, and practice safe tumbling skills under guidance, building strength, coordination, and body confidence in a playful setting.

Family value: Ask about the “new move” your child learned on Tumble Bus day to reinforce skills and celebrate progress.

Seasonal Sessions (Toddlers & Preschool)

What children experience

A high-energy blend of music, fitness, and global storytelling. Toddlers explore big ideas like opposites through obstacle courses and simple instruments. Preschoolers “travel” the solar system and famous animal habitats — from the Amazon to the Serengeti — while discovering new cultures. Repeating core songs/activities each week builds confidence and willingness to try new challenges. Benefits span:

  • Motor development: Props, instruments, and obstacle play refine fine/gross motor skills.

  • Social-emotional growth: Turn-taking, teamwork, and cultural appreciation (“not so different after all”).

  • Language: Call-and-response, singing, and guided conversation expand vocabulary and expressive skills.

  • Cognition: Rhythm, rhyme, and movement create memorable hooks for learning.

Family value: Use the destination of the week as a dinnertime prompt—“What animals live there? What sounds do they make?”
